Humber Business Week has been an absolute blast for the Fred team.

Bookended by vital PR work for two of the region’s biggest sectors – offshore wind and seafood – we also supported clients with exceptional events throughout, culminating in our creative assistance with The Business Day.

From ‘A Morning with James Sweeting’ delivered to an Andrew Jackson audience at the MKM Stadium on Monday, through to our ‘Blankety Biz’ Fred injection of fun at Bridlington Spa on Friday, our team were on top form throughout.

There was E-FWD's exceptional fireside chat with MP Melanie Onn and the wider panel discussion with key regional and national figures as part of the Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce Expo on Tuesday, for which we helped assemble the guest list having introduced the concept previously; vital insights into our carbon capture and storage work with the Catch Humber Industrial Decarbonisation Network on Wednesday and Stronger Together: A Blueprint for Regional Growth with Focus and Humber HR People on Thursday.

As part of the latter event, managing director Emma Pearson-Kendall joined Phil Hindle, co-founder of Focus Group, to unveil their latest collaboration, Resilience 360. This new service offers businesses and business leaders crisis planning and communications, alongside professionally crafted, tailored psychological support for staff and management teams during challenging times.

Fred directors were also delighted to attend the Opportunity Humber event in Grimsby and the University of Hull Humber Business Week Dinner on campus.

Our ‘Blankety Biz’ session was certainly a highlight of the week, bringing together an esteemed panel of business leaders at The Business Day to try to match their answers to business-slanted (loosely!) questions with our willing volunteers from the audience.

Having sailed into the week from Green Port Hull, helping get BBC Look North’s Peter Levy and his team on the huge Wind Peak offshore wind turbine installation vessel with Humber Marine & Renewables for an excellent feature, we closed off on Grimsby Fish Market whetting the appetite for a ‘chippy tea’ as part of National Fish and Chip Week – we were certainly all ready for one!

We’re familiar with event delivery, on stage and behind it.  If it is ‘eyes on’ that you want, use your Fred!
